Welcome to Student Life at New World School of the Arts College!
The NWSA campus is located in downtown Miami on the Wolfson Campus of Miami Dade College and is easily accessible by public transportation. Miami is easily one of the most exciting cities in the United States. Richly diverse, it is a city that will support and inspire your artistic exploration. We are minutes away from several cultural venues such as the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, Perez Art Museum Miami, Frost Museum of Science, the Historical Museum, and the Olympia Theater. New World School of the Arts extends students a unique opportunity to enjoy the many cultural centers and exciting attractions that make Miami the "Magic City."
The Student Services Department strives to enhance the college experience for NWSA students through leadership opportunities, social and community events. There are opportunities for leadership through our Student Government Association and New Student Orientation team.
The Student Services department organizes New Student Orientation, UF Convocation, Commencement, and advises SGA.
Student Government Association
The New World School of the Arts Student Government Association exists to represent and communicate the interests of the Student Body. SGA advocates for student issues and improvements at the college. In addition, SGA works with the Student Services department to maintain and improve student life by planning and executing events and volunteer outings to promote interaction between students in all four divisions. SGA meets bi-monthly where all students are invited to discuss issues affecting the school.
SGA hosts special events and community service opportunities throughout the academic year; including signature events like Gobble Wobble, Day Trip to Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream, and the Annual Beach Day Picnic. SGA also sponsors the NWSA store for students to purchase NWSA apparel.

SGA Meetings are held every 2 weeks on Wednesdays from 1-2pm in Room 5507 starting in September.
Orientation Leaders
Orientation Leaders make the New Student Orientation program come alive! Orientation Leaders provide an opportunity for upper-class students to help new students experience a positive transition to college. Orientation Leaders will meet new students during Orientation Week. Orientation Leaders offer peer insight into the academic and social life at NWSA; and aid in making the transition to college life as smooth as possible for first-year and transfer students.
